GrowApps vs Replit: which to pick.
Replit is a general purpose cloud workspace: Agent builds a web app by default, and can now also start a separate mobile app project on React Native and Expo, complete with its own cloud backend. The web app and the mobile app are two different Agent projects, not one shared build, and Android publishing still stops at a downloadable build rather than the Play Store. GrowApps writes one Flutter codebase for web, iOS and Android from a single project, with the Play Store steps guided. Pick Replit if you want a full cloud IDE that covers many kinds of projects. Pick GrowApps if you want one build that already reaches all three platforms.

Honest tradeoffs
Where Replit is the better choice.
Pick Replit when
- You want a general purpose cloud IDE that covers web apps, scripts and mobile projects, not a tool built only for one kind of app.
- The product is mobile only on iOS and a roughly 45 minute path to TestFlight, per Replit's own docs, fits your workflow.
- You want backend services like a database and object storage running directly inside the same workspace as the code editor.
- You are comfortable maintaining the web app and the mobile app as two separate Agent projects.
Honest tradeoffs
Where GrowApps is the better choice.
Pick GrowApps when
- You want one Flutter codebase that covers web, iOS and Android from a single project, not two separate builds to maintain.
- You want the Android app store submission path guided for you; Replit's own docs say Play Store publishing is not yet supported.
- You want auth, a database, payments and hosting connected specifically for an app product, not general purpose cloud infrastructure to configure.
- You want the full source code exportable from the free plan, with nothing to set up separately.

Frequently asked questions
GrowApps vs Replit, answered directly.
Does Replit build native mobile apps like GrowApps?
Yes, as of Replit's own current documentation. Its Agent can start a separate "Mobile app" project built on React Native and Expo, distinct from the web app projects Agent builds by default. That is two separate projects rather than one shared build. GrowApps writes a single Flutter codebase that runs on the web, on iOS and on Android from the same project.
Does Replit publish the app to the Play Store for me?
Not yet, per Replit's own mobile documentation. An iOS project can be built and submitted to TestFlight and the App Store in roughly 45 minutes. Android reaches preview and build stages only; publishing to Google Play is not yet supported by Replit. GrowApps generates a signed Android App Bundle for every project and its Publish area walks you through the Play Console steps.
Which one is cheaper to start with?
Both have a free plan with no card required. Replit's Starter plan gives a daily Agent allowance and limited monthly cloud credits. GrowApps gives new accounts starter credits plus a free credit every day, up to 10 a month. Replit's first paid plan, Core, is 20 US dollars a month (18 a month billed annually), the same entry price as GrowApps' Standard plan.
Can I export the code either one generates?
Yes for both. A Replit project can be downloaded as a zip file or pushed to a GitHub repository. GrowApps lets you export the complete Flutter source at any time, on any plan, including free.
