Use case
How to build a local services app with AI
A local service business, a plumber, a cleaner, a landscaper, mostly needs customers to see what you offer, ask for a quote or a visit, and reach you without a phone tag. GrowApps builds that from a plain description of your services and area, with a real request form, a database of jobs, and a live app you can send to a customer the same day.
What to include
The screens a local services app needs.
- A services list with what you do and a price range
- A request or quote form with photo upload for the job
- A job or ticket status a customer can check
- A service area map or list of towns you cover
- A contact and review request screen, without fake ratings
Try it yourself
A prompt you can paste into GrowApps.
This is a realistic starting prompt, not a placeholder. Change the names, numbers and details to your own before you use it.
Build an app for my plumbing business, FixIt Plumbing. List 5 services: leak repair, drain clearing, water heater install, pipe replacement and emergency callout, each with a short description. Let a customer request a quote by describing the problem and uploading a photo, and show them a status of requested, quoted, scheduled or done. Add a screen listing the towns I service.
What GrowApps sets up
The parts you would otherwise wire up by hand.
Sign in for the business, guest requests for customers
You get an account to manage jobs, while a customer can send a request without signing up first.
A jobs and requests database
Every quote request, photo and status update is stored and kept in sync between your view and the customer's.
Payments, for deposits or invoices
Stripe can be connected to take a deposit or send a payable invoice once a job is quoted.
Hosting
The app is live at a shareable link the moment the preview is ready, easy to put on a van, a flyer or a Google listing.
A Play Store bundle
When you want a proper app listing, GrowApps produces the signed Android App Bundle and the Publish area guides Play Console.
Honest limits
What a first build will not get right.
A services list, a quote request with a photo, and a status screen are a normal first build. Routing and scheduling multiple technicians across a day, or syncing with an existing invoicing tool you already use for your books, are heavier integrations and usually need a few more rounds after the first version works. GrowApps will not fabricate reviews or a star rating for you, real ones have to come from real customers, added later through a review platform you choose.
Cost
What building this costs in credits.
A first build like this uses about 4 credits on average. New accounts get starter credits plus 1 free credit a day, up to 10 a month, no card required. Standard is 20 US dollars a month for 20 credits, Pro is 200 a month for 300, and unused credits roll over for a month.
Frequently asked questions
What people ask before building a local services app.
Can customers upload a photo of the problem when they request a quote?
Yes. Describe that when you build the app and GrowApps adds photo upload to the request form.
Can I manage jobs from my phone once the app is live?
Yes. The same Flutter codebase runs on web, iOS and Android, so you can check and update job status from your phone.
Will the app show star ratings for my business?
No, and it should not. GrowApps does not add fake ratings or review counts. Real reviews belong on a review platform you connect yourself once you have real customers.
Describe your local services app and see it built.
GrowApps plans it, writes the Flutter code and gives you a live preview the same day.
